The lively behaviour of the PBi6 does not point to a shortcoming with regards to safety - quite the opposite. During numerous and intense test flying, encompassing general flying and extreme flight manoeuvres, the PBi6 has proven to withstand all rigours of tandem flying.
Easy to Take off and Land
The characteristic of the PBi6 excels also during the take off and landings, two of the most critical phases during a tandem flight. Consistent and immediate deployment of the canopy, even and rapid pull ups with short take off run, irrespective of the atmospheric conditions. The path to enjoyment of the third dimension is simple, quick and short. A prolonged flaring ability during landings completes the well rounded impression of the glider.
Comfort Included
Like its predecessor, the PBi6 is equipped with trimmers. This greatly expands the available speed range; a real safety bonus to compensate against increasing wind strengths and during the pursuit of distance. Also new is the B-Stall aid, which is activated by means of a force reducing pulley system. The latter has proven extremely effective and soothing in case of emergencies, when airsickness strikes the passenger.
